Well I did some more work on the tutorial this morning. I'm finding it's a great way to QA the scripts and I've found a few things that I was able to make more clear during the documentation process.
At this point I've got the following sections:
Chapter 1: Using basic reactions
- 1. Adjusting reactions with prr_a_reaction
- 2. Checking the reaction with prr_c_reaction
- 3. Skill checks with prr_c_skill_dc and prr_c_skill_rank
- 4. Controlling reaction adjustments with prr_a_didthis
- 5. Random rumors using prr_a_getrumor (in progress)
- 6. Using the prr_template conversation (in progress)
Chapter 2: Using the theft scripts (not started)
Chapter 3: Using factions (not started)
I've also started a companion document that I'm calling the Builder's Quick Reference. This will follow the tutorial document, but will remove much of the hand-holding. Between these two documents, I'm pretty hopeful that people will be more apt to adopt the system.
I'd like to release a beta to the vault soon, but for now I need to take a break.
In other news, I finally ordered new cooling fans for my PC and that's done wonders for me. I've got a new desk set up, a new 500G hard drive to install and a new monitor on the way!
